It is a legal requirement under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 to get a Gas Safety Certificate every twelve months.
This must be obtained from a Gas Safe Registered engineer. It is required for all gas pipes, gas appliances and any flues installed at your Mosque, Madrasa, Islamic School or Community Centre.
In some cases, you may have a property let out to private tenants. As the owner of the property you will need to make sure their lodgings are included in your gas safety checks. It is advisable when a tenant moves out to get a new gas safety check before your new tenants move in.
