Fire Safety

Fire safety is a set of procedures used to prevent fire damage. This includes practices to prevent fires from starting, and to prevent fires from spreading and limit the damage fires can cause.

Fire safety services include:

• Fire systems installation – working, regularly maintained, inspected and tested fire alarms, smoke detectors and fire extinguishers
• Emergency escape lighting inspection – to direct occupants to the nearest appropriate exit and also to illuminate areas with poor visibility or no working lighting such as stairwells, corridors and bathrooms.
• Staff fire safety instructions and training – forms part of your risk assessment. Covers fire emergency evacuation plan, elements of combustion and theory of fire including what extinguisher can be used on different types of fire.
• Fire marshal training – fire drills and evacuation procedures, safety legislation and fire safety precautions.
